Primary capital in a foundation

All foundations must have a primary capital.
The primary capital may consist of cash and/or other assets. Assets that cannot be capitalized according to the Accounting Act, or an obligation to perform a job or a service, cannot be used as primary capital.
There are different requirements depending on whether it is a private or a public foundation.
Public foundations
Minimum requirements of the primary capital for a public foundation is NOK 100,000.
Commercial foundations
Minimum requirements of the primary capital for commercial foundations is NOK 200,000.
