Explanation of our fees
Last updated: 3 February 2026.
The operation of our largest registers is financed through fees that users must pay when they use our services.
Our largest registers are:
- The Register of Mortgaged Movable Property, including the Register of Marriage Settlements
- The Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities
- The Register of Business Enterprises, including the Register of Company Accounts
Registration in these registers will be subject to a fee.
Calculation of the fees
The fees must cover direct and indirect costs.
Direct costs include the number of hours logged on registration services, such as case processing, accessibility, processing of complaints, technical operations and management.
Indirect costs consist of rent, equipment and infrastructure, and administrative personnel, among other things. The costs are based on an allocation key which is dependent on the number of cases for the various registration services.
The purpose of setting the fees is to ensure that total fee income matches the total costs. The basis for setting the fees is calculated as follows:
- A revenue aim is set for each register subject to fees. This aim must correspond to the full cost of operating that register.
- The expected volume of cases for fee liable services is then estimated. The fee rates can be adjusted so that projected fee income meets the revenue aim. The case volume is based on previous data, trends and economic conditions.

Fees for the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities
Registration in the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities is subject to a fee for all types of organisations except associations and youth and student enterprises. All changes and deletions are free because the fee for a new registration must cover the entire lifecycle as long as the organisation is registered.
Fees for the Register of Business Enterprises
Registration in the Register of Business Enterprises and announcements of certain changes are subject to a fee. Other changes and deletions are free because the fee for a new registration must cover the costs of case processing in the Register of Business Enterprises and the Register of Company Accounts as long as the organisation is registered.
Certain types of organisations have higher fees because they require more resources to register.
The fee for announcements is the same for all types of organisations. Examples of announcements include capital reduction, change of business name, or notification of merger or demerger.
Fees for the Register of Mortgaged Movable Property
Registration in the Register of Mortgaged Movable Property and the Register of Marriage Settlements is subject to a fee. There is also a fee for changes to registered documents such as transfers, extensions, and subordinations. All other changes and deletions are free.
Lower fees for online submissions
Online submissions can often be processed fully automatically, while notifications on paper must be registered manually. Hence, the fees for online submissions are lower than those for submissions on paper.
Financing of the other registers
The other registers are financed differently, through operational grants and special funding. Users of these services do not pay a fee.
