Be aware of possible attempts of fraud
E-mail scam attempt
Several people have recently received an e-mail with the subject line New security requirements (Nye sikkerhetskrav). It urges Altinn users to verify their account due to updated security requirements from the Brønnøysund Register Centre. Do not click the link – it is a scam.
The e-mail appears like this:

Fraud attempts via telephone
If you have registered a new entity or changed the information in our registers, you might experience being called by various companies straight afterwards. The persons calling might give the impression that they are calling on behalf of us, and are offering various services related to for instance your sole proprietorship. Do not enter into any agreement – this might be an attempt of fraud.
- We will never contact you via telephone, SMS or e-mail and ask you to give us your credit card information, copy of your passport, driver’s licence or account number.
- Are you going to register anything or change the information in our registers, you have to log on through ID-porten or Bank-ID.
