The general meeting in a housing cooperative
Last updated: 2 January 2026.
The housing cooperative must record minutes from the general meeting.
The general meeting is the supreme governing body of the housing cooperative. The unit holders have the right to appear and vote here. The housing cooperative must keep an ordinary general meeting by the end of June each year. All other general meetings are extraordinary general meetings.
You may redact parts of the minutes if needed, provided that the minimum requirements remain visible and can be verified by us.
What disclosures should the minutes contain?
The minutes must at least contain information about
- which housing cooperative is holding the general meeting
- which date the meeting was held
- how many unit holders are represented
- the approval of the summoning of the meeting
- decision made on the general meeting
The minutes must be signed by the chair of the meeting and at least one other person, elected by the people present at the general assembly.
