Submission of annual accounts for non-profit organizations

Last updated: 2 February 2018 .

Some non-profit organizations must submit annual accounts. Here you will find an overview of what this implies.

Associations which are registered in the Register of Non-Profit Organizations, and are not legally bound to maintain accounting records, can choose to take on the responsibility to submit annual accounts. If so, the entity is obliged to submit the accounts.

The annual accounts must contain

  • accounts of activities
  • balance sheet
  • notes
  • annual report

You submit the annual accounts through a separate form in Altinn.

The deadline for the submission of annual accounts is:

  • 30 September for annual accounts whose fiscal year ends  in the period 1 July – 31 December
  • 31 March for annual accounts whose fiscal year ends in the period 1 January to 30 June

The Register of Non-Profit Organizations will notify associations which do not meet the reporting obligations.
