Resolutions of the Porvoo Group 13th Conference, Hurtigruten, Norway, 9–10 April 2008
Executive summary
Almost 90 representatives from 16 European countries, the USA, Japan and Mexico, participated in the Porvoo 13 Conference. This document highlights the resolutions of the Porvoo Group.
Resolutions
All resolutions were agreed unanimously.
Resolution 1.
The Porvoo Group welcomes the developments in relation to the LSP project. Provided that a contract will be rewarded by the EC to the STORK consortium the Group looks forward to be invited to elaborate on Porvoo members interoperability requirements as well as deliver input to the Common Specifications as under construction.
Resolution 2.
(From Porvoo 12: The Porvoo Group has received with great interest the proposal by Bud P. Bruegger to modernize Country Updates with a web-based database application called PESO. We invite members to join a virtual team facilitated by Bud P. Bruegger to further develop this project. The team will predominantly work virtually (over a mailing list). We invite all Member States to collaborate on the update of their eID Status information in time for every Porvoo Conference.)
On the basis of resolution number 4 of the Porvoo 12 conference the PESO project (a web-based database application for country updates) is in progress. The PESO procedures including access rights and mechanisms for updating and extracting information will be further developed and experimented on the basis of input to be provided by Porvoo members. The processes relating to PESO will be carried out by Mr. Bud P. Bruegger (Commune di Grosseto, Italy), email: bud@comune.grosseto.it.

Resolution 3. Next Conference
The 14th Porvoo Group Conference will be held in Cardiff, Wales, the U.K., on 23–24 October 2008.
Resolution 4. Thanks to the Norwegian Organisers
The Porvoo Group appreciates the excellent organization and facilities provided for the Porvoo 13 Conference on Hurtigruten and conveys special thanks to Mr. Sverre Bauck, Mr. Svein Burkeland, Ms. Einhild Evensen, Ms. Hilde Sund and also all the others who participated in the hosting country organisation. We also thank all industry, local, and institutional sponsors who made this conference on Hurtigruten very successful and unforgettable.
