Cases processed by the Central Coordinating Register for
Legal Entities 20002003

The caseload at the Central Coordinating Register for Legal
Entities declined for the third year in a row. In the peak
year of 2001, 208 000 cases were processed, while the number
fell to 196 500 in 2003. Even with the decline, the case load
is high. This may be due to a general increase in the number
of registrations in the Brønnøysund Register
Centre, and an increase in the use of the Central Coordinating
Register for Legal Entities by both affiliated registers and
other users. Frequent reuse of register data uncovered flaws
and deficiencies and therefore a greater number of update
notifications were received. Many notifications of changes
involved registration of e-mail addresses, website addresses
and mobile phone numbers, and there has also been a high number
of notifications in connection with updating data on accountants.
If these are to be approved for electronic submission on behalf
of a company using Altinn, the register information must be
updated.
A total of 372 000 notifications were submitted to the Central
Coordinating Register for Legal Entities. Many of these were
forwarded to affiliated registers, most to the Register of
Business Enterprises.
