The National Fee Collection Office has another function than
the other Brønnøysund registers.
The National Fee Collection Office's task is to register
and invoice vouchers as the basis for keeping accounts and
collecting fees and charges for the state. The fees concerned
are those paid in connection with forced sales, execution
proceedings and other enforcement proceedings carried out
by district police and public registrars/district court judges.
The National Fee Collection Office also registers vouchers
for payment of special expenses in connection with enforcement
proceedings, for example announcement expenses. In addition,
there are expenses for various notifications in the Register
of Business Enterprises and the Register of Bankruptcy, and
expenses in connection with drawing up a debt settlement.
The number of cases processed each year by the National Fee
Collection Office may be viewed as an economic barometer.
The number of vouchers at the National Fee Collection Office
provides background data for statistics for the development
of forced sales, execution proceedings and so on.
