The Register of Business Enterprises

The Register of Business Enterprises contains information on private limited companies and other companies with limited liability, general partnerships and other companies with unlimited liability, and sole proprietorships.

Register Transcript from the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities and the Register of Business Enterprises

This product contains information regarding body corporates. In the transcript you will find information concerning organisation number, name, type of organisation, roles, location and postal address, which associated registers the entity has been registered in, industrial code and more.

Business Enterprise Information

This contains important information about business enterprises. Here you will find information on the organization number, organization form, type of enterprise, date of incorporation, name, business address, capital, payment conditions, board of directors, general manager, signature, power of procuration, auditor, line of business and special information, if any, about the business enterprise.

Certificate of Registration (in Norwegian)

This certificate contains information about business enterprises and serves as identification for the business enterprise in all circumstances, for instance for lenders, customs and duty authorities and judicial registration authorities.

Special versions of the certificate of registration are also available.

These are:

• Certificate of Registration (in Norwegian) of historical business name
  This certificate contains the same information as a regular certificate of registration, but also contains information about the previously registered historical business names of business enterprises which have changed names.

• Certificate of Registration (in Norwegian) with signature etc.
  This is a certificate of registration with a signature and translated into English, if so required. The Certificate of Registration in English does not contain information regarding objectives as laid down in the Articles of Associations. The objectives as laid down in the Articles of Association can be translated by a certified translator. Send the translation to us, and we will add this to the Certificate of Registration.

Confirmation of Information

This is a confirmation of information which is or has been registered with the Register of Business Enterprises. You may, for example, receive confirmation of a merger and the date when it took effect, all information registered with the Register of Business Enterprises on a particular date, all changes to a business name which have been registered, or expansion or writing down of capital. Confirmations are signed. You may also obtain a confirmation of information translated into English.

Copy from Files

This is a copy of notifications a business enterprise has sent to the Register of Business Enterprises, first when it registered, and when it has made changes. This also includes some of the material the registration is based upon, such as the articles of association, articles of partnership, minutes from the annual general meetings etc.

You may also obtain copies of documents or prospectus from the historical archives. The historical archives contain the local business registers from the period 1875 - 1990.

Position Overview

This shows which positions (e.g. general manager, the chairman of the board etc.) a person is registered as holding in the Register of Business Enterprises, or the position a business enterprise holds in another company. Position overviews can be ordered by organization number and national identity number (11 digits).

Auditor Client Overview

An auditor can order an overview of which clients he or she is registered as having in the Register of Business Enterprises. Only overviews of one's own clients can be ordered.
